Game developer Shina Ninomiya is trapped inside World’s Odyssey, a virtual game world corrupted by bugs. Her colleague Arata supports her from reality as they search for a way out and investigate how the two worlds are connected.
Explore dungeons as Shina and her party, find routes through damaged environments, and fight monsters in turn-based battles. Positioning matters: attacks can knock enemies into walls or each other, creating extra hits and combos.
Switch to Arata’s real-world investigation to uncover clues and make story choices that affect the ending. Character-specific skills help reach hidden areas, while battle hacks can change the fight’s genre or provide other effects.
Players who enjoy the game often point to its mystery-driven story, dark atmosphere, memorable characters, and the unusual mix of visual-novel scenes with JRPG combat. The knockback battles also stand out as a fresh idea. Responses are mixed: some find the story too long or its ending unsatisfying, while others criticize repetitive fights and slow pacing.
