Nov 11, 2014
In this game, you can…
- spend a command point to take over a soldier, run them in real time, and get shot at mid-sprint if you cross an enemy's firing lane.
- build a squad around who likes or hates who, where standing near the wrong ally can debuff you and the right ally can give support fire.
- watch a soldier's personality trait trigger mid-fight, from becoming a dead shot to having their gun jam because they never cleaned it.
- bank command points across turns, then re-activate the same unit multiple times until their movement starts shrinking from exhaustion.
- push into fog of war and have enemies only appear when one of your units can actually see them.
- use a tank as mobile cover, flatten infantry with it, and still have to protect its exposed rear battery from anti-tank troops.
- blow away sandbags to strip enemy cover, then use trenches and terrain bonuses that can even change per character.
- chain a whole raid in one turn by stacking buffs, moving the tank up, sprinting a scout to the objective, and following up with coordinated shots before the enemy acts.
7Sprocket - Carefully balance mobility, firepower and armour in a dedicated tank designer. Then uncarefully put them to the test in a series of combat scenarios progressing through the ages of the tank. - set up one transmission per track so one side drives forward while the other reverses to spin in place.
- angle armor plates and watch the effective thickness change against incoming shells in the analysis.
- recreate real tanks with matching parts and end up within about 5–10% of their real-world stats.
- place fuel tanks as external components so a hit can get absorbed there, then potentially ignite and cascade into internal damage.
- spawn your custom builds into battles to immediately test mobility, armor, and weird mechanical ideas against other creations.
