The Jackbox Party Pack 8 is a collection of five group party games. Players join using a web-enabled phone or tablet rather than a separate controller; remote groups can connect by sharing the host’s screen over a call.
Drawful Animate has players make looping, two-frame drawings for unusual prompts, while Job Job turns players’ words into answers to interview questions. In The Wheel of Enormous Proportions, players answer trivia to earn slices of a wheel, then spin for a chance to win and have a question answered.
The Poll Mine divides players into teams: each person ranks choices for survey questions, and teams try to predict the group’s overall answers as they attempt to escape a witch’s lair. In Weapons Drawn, players are both murderers and detectives, hiding a letter from their name in a drawn weapon while investigating other players.
Job Job is the most consistently singled-out favorite, with players enjoying how combining other players’ words creates funny interview answers. Reviews also praise the laughs and replay potential, and some highlight Drawful Animate, Weapons Drawn, or The Poll Mine. Opinions on the pack are mixed: players differ on which games work best, while some find the Wheel’s outcomes arbitrary or Weapons Drawn confusing.
The eighth installment of the beloved Jackbox Party Pack franchise is here! Five hilarious new games will energize your next game night, holiday party, happy hour, or video call.
