You play a Grey Warden in Ferelden as darkspawn return and civil war divides the kingdom. Choose one of six character origins, each with its own opening story, then set out to rally support against the Blight. Travel with a party of companions whose histories and opinions emerge through conversations and personal quests. Your decisions shape relationships and influence how events unfold, while dialogue choices let you define your Warden’s outlook. Develop your character as a warrior, mage, or rogue, and equip and direct a party in real-time combat that can be paused for commands. Set companion tactics, use skills and spells, complete quests, and choose which factions to support.

As a Grey Warden amid Ferelden’s Blight and civil war, build a party, make hard choices, and fight to stop an ancient foe.
