You play Jim Peyton, a rig pilot who takes a contract with Neo-Venus Construction on the frozen planet E.D.N. III. He surveys the terrain and searches for Thermal Energy while facing severe weather and the planet’s native Akrid.
Explore connected areas on foot and in a large utility rig. On-foot sections focus on third-person shooting, while the rig helps with travel, industrial tasks, and its own slower combat encounters. Missions also send Jim to collect samples, repair equipment, and establish energy sites.
Complete contract work and optional objectives to earn resources for weapons and rig upgrades. The campaign’s story follows Jim’s work at the Coronis base and his communications with people back on Earth; multiplayer modes are also included.
Players who enjoy the game often point to its isolated, stormy setting, its story and protagonist, and the contrast between on-foot shooting and piloting the heavy utility rig. Some appreciate the slower, more grounded pace and presentation, while others find the travel and combat repetitive or cumbersome. The sample also includes recurring complaints about PC controls and bugs that can interrupt progress.
