You play as American war correspondent Robert Hawkins, who takes up arms alongside resistance fighters opposing Nazi forces. The campaign moves through occupied parts of Europe, including Poland during the Warsaw Uprising, as well as France and Norway.
Missions blend direct firefights with stealth, sniping, and sabotage. You can scout enemy positions, choose routes through open areas, and use explosives or marksmanship to take on larger forces.
A range of World War II weapons is available, including pistols, submachine guns, rifles, and sniper rifles; weapons can also be picked up during the campaign. The single-player story unfolds across a sequence of resistance operations.
Players who praise Enemy Front often point to its Warsaw Uprising and Polish resistance setting, which they find less familiar than other WWII shooter backdrops. Reviews also highlight the option to use stealth, sniping, or direct combat, along with satisfying gunplay and a classic campaign feel. Appreciation for these elements varies, and players also frequently mention rough edges.
