You play Sgt. Matt Baker, leading a squad of 101st Airborne paratroopers scattered across the French countryside during the Normandy invasion. The campaign follows their missions through the region toward Carentan and Hill 30.
Combat centers on commanding two squads rather than relying on your own marksmanship. Pin enemies with suppressive fire, then move another squad around their position to attack from the flank; you can also order troops to reposition and use cover.
A battlefield overview helps you assess enemy positions before giving orders, and some missions let you direct a tank. The campaign is divided into missions, with optional historical and behind-the-scenes materials to unlock.
In these selected reviews, players who enjoy the game often highlight its squad-command combat, especially using suppression to create flanking opportunities, along with the story and memorable squadmates. Historical atmosphere and the soundtrack also recur as points of appreciation. Others find the gunplay difficult to control and report problems with squad AI, dated presentation, or uneven difficulty.
