You play an explorer left stranded on the edge of space after your employer fires you before you reach your destination. Explore alien worlds, uncover what they contain, and work toward getting back to Earth.
Jump, climb, slide, shoot, and use tools such as a whip and grappling gear to cross varied terrain. Scan plants and creatures, collect resources, solve environmental puzzles, and search caves and other hidden areas for secrets.
Research and experiments help raise your science level and unlock equipment and abilities, which can open paths that were out of reach before. Capture creatures for pens near your habitat, customize your space trailer, and explore alone or with a friend in online or split-screen co-op.
Players often enjoy exploring the colorful, layered planets and finding creatures, secrets, and upgrades along the way. Many say co-op makes the expeditions more entertaining, while the goofy animations, corporate satire, and absurd humor add personality. In a future knocked off its axis by corporate greed and stupidity, you have been made redundant and abandoned on the far edge of space with little gear and no safety net.
